Právě dělám kompletní update informací na stránce Voodoo3 (tj. text v horní půlce stránky) a po delší době jsem zabrousil na stránky Dellu. A řeknu vám, tak propracovnanou podporu u tak starý karty, klobou dolů.
I z toho FAQ bych si mohl vzít příklad. FAQ Dellu = kladivo na nVidioty

Frame rate is the single most important feature that a gaming platform can provide, and not just average frame rate but sustained frame rate. 32bpp rendering with full 32bpp frame buffer accesses requires twice the memory bandwidth of 16bpp frame buffer accesses regardless of the graphics engine: a higher bandwidth requirement means a lower frame rate. As for image quality, most games look great in 16bpp mode. The rendering calculations are actually performed internally at 32 bits to have full precision with the 16-bit operands. Then, instead of simply truncating the results to 16 bits for saving in the frame buffer, a proprietary filtering algorithm is used that retains nearly the full precision of the original color value. The result is something that visually rivals ANY full 32-bit rendering, only it runs a lot faster.
Q. Does the 16MB 3dfx Voodoo3 3000D AGP Video Card support large textures?
A. The 16MB 3dfx Voodoo3 3000D AGP Video Card supports textures up to 256x256 in local video memory, which is large enough to support virtually any 3D game available today. Buffering large textures in system memory (AGP Aperture) would result in latency that would adversely affect the frame rates of 3D rendering.
